Well, it’s official: Boise Classic Movies has jumped the mountains and landed in NE Portland. The good folks at the Hollywood Theatre have started a series of group movie-going events with the help of Boise’s own Boise Classic Movies! We’re VERY excited to present This is YOUR Theatre! It works like this: Portlanders tell us […]
A couple years ago, I wrote a guest post over on Girls in Tech on how I make Thanksgiving turkey, potatoes and margaritas. I’ve stolen that article and posted it here, for posterity. I’ve redacted it just a bit (the turkey should rest for no less than an hour, not 20 minutes). A few folks […]
I’ve picked up a desk over at Red Sky! I started coming in last week, and I’m loving it. It’s been nice to interact with people more regularly and to move around more during the day. Not only that, but the Red Sky crew is great! They’re all super-smart, talented people. I think I’m getting […]
My nephew wanted a hobbit themed birthday cake this year, so I contributed the door. Note the rune Gandalf left on the bottom for the dwarves to find. Best. Uncle. Ever.

I recently resigned my position at Valice to get out on my own. I’m excited! It’s going to be a lot of fun to work with some folks I’ve wanted to work with for awhile now. So, before anyone thinks otherwise:
We took a trip to Lincoln City and Newport over Presidents Day. Here’s a quick vid of some of the groovy thing we saw.
I wrote a blog post, just not here. Over at Girls in Tech, I wrote a crash course on preparing Thanksgiving turkey and potatoes.
I’m reading Enchantment, by Guy Kawasaki. I’ve been chipping away at it for longer than I care to admit, but I’m reading it deliberately. There’s a lot of good stuff that requires more than a skim to appreciate and apply. Tonight, I read a section in which Guy uses Garr Reynolds‘s list of ten Japanese […]
I was thinking yesterday that I love my iPhone. I’ve owned three iPhones, the original, the 3G (not 3GS), and the iPhone 4. The iPhone 4 leaves me without want. With the original iPhone, I really wanted 3G, so I upgraded. With the 3G, I really wanted a faster processor, and a better camera. The […]
